This year, MGW celebrated the last weekend before the semester started by going to Curtis Orchard in Champaign. We picked some tasty apples, as one might expect we’d do at an orchard. MGW Retreat 2012

To kick off the 2012-2013 school year, MGW went to Kickapoo State Park, where we enjoyed canoeing (and one group took a paddleboat…do we say they went paddleboating?). Then we enjoyed a picnic lunch before heading back to C-U.

In the fall of 2011, MGW was invited to meet with the new Head of Graduate Programs, Prof. Harley Johnson. (We get to do things like this because our input is valued by the department. Just more proof that MGW is awesome.)

For our 2011 retreat (to start off the new school year in style), MGW went bowling at the Illini Union. We may not be the best bowlers, but that’s okay. We’re good at math and stuff. Then we got some delicious frozen yogurt. read more
